Card Butler, Our Cards
1.We handpick your cards based on the information you give us. We undertake to always provide high quality, appropriate greetings cards, and we will endeavour to choose cards suitable for the recipient according to the information we have at that time.
2.Cards vary in colour, size and design. All our greeting cards are blank inside, no cheesy rhymes, so they can be customised to say what you want to your important person.
3.Prices published are inclusive of UK VAT and UK postage. Full details of total price will be shown in the shopping basket.
4.If for any reason our published prices are found to be incorrect, we will contact you and give you the option to either cancel outstanding orders or complete them at the correct price.
5.We will endeavour to deliver all cards in plenty of time for you to send them on. However we cannot be held responsible for unforeseen postal delays once we have despatched your order.
6.If a card is defective when it arrives we will replace it. Please call our Hotline number straight away so that we can get another card out to you in time for the occasion (if you leave it too long to tell us we can't be held responsible for late arrival).
7.Please return damaged cards to us within 7 days of receipt. The price paid for these goods will be reimbursed to you, usually via the same method you used to pay. We cannot be held responsible for cards damaged in transit.
8.If the card you receive is not satisfactory we will replace it with another more appropriate card as soon as you inform us via the Hotline. Please see Terms and Conditions 6c.
Terms & Conditions, Privacy
and Data Protection
1.Card Butler provides a service for your personal use subject to these Terms and Conditions.
2.We need to hold certain personal information in order to provide our service. Except to the extent that we are required by law, we will only use personal information which we collect in order to provide our service.
3.The Card Butler team values your information and promises to protect and store it securely.
We stick to the following simple rules:
 
i. It's your information; you own it.
ii. You may request the card butler to add, delete or modify your information at any time.
iii. We won't update or modify your information without your permission.
iv. Card Butler will definitely not sell, exchange, or otherwise share your information with third parties, unless you ask us to.
v. We hate spam. We don't send it or support the activities of spammers.
4.We have obligations in relation to your personal information under the Data Protection Act 1998. It is unlikely but possible that some of the information you provide may be classed as "sensitive", under the Act (defined as information on "delicate" matters, including race, political opinions, religion, trade union membership, physical or mental health or condition, sexual life etc). By registering with Card Butler and providing your details, you agree that we may use the information in the way set out below. Where you provide information about other people you also confirm that you have their consent to provide us with that information.
5.By registering with Card Butler, you agree to our formula. Namely, you tell us when you need the cards for and a little about the recipient; we pick appropriate cards which we will send to you. You are then responsible for filling them out and posting them on.
6.By registering, you confirm your understanding that:
 
a. This service is not designed, or able, to supply specific cards to specific people.
b. That you may not choose your cards.
c. That where possible, we will try to replace any unsatisfactory cards in time for the occasion via our Hotline, but that we reserve the right to limit the number of replacements made for any one instance, or for any one customer.
7.After registering with Card Butler, you will need to supply us with relevant security details in order to allow us to edit your account.
8. You must ensure that all the details you provide during registration or at any time after, are correct and complete. Do this by updating your personal details and those of your Important People as soon as they change. To edit your details please contact the hotline. That is the only way we can keep our service accurate and up to date.
9.If you do have a complaint it should be made immediately and confirmed in writing within 7 days; we will acknowledge your complaint in writing within 7 days and aim to resolve any complaint within 14 days of that acknowledgement.
10.We may from time to time provide links to 3rd party websites on our site; if you choose to access them you do so at your own risk.
11.Amendments to our website, goods, services and terms and conditions may be made without prior notice to you, therefore please check them each time you use our website.
12. Card Butler reserves the right to refuse to post material on our website, or to remove material already posted.
13.We may suspend use of our website if we have reason to believe that there is likely to be a breach of security or misuse of our service or site.
14.Your access to the service and site may occasionally be restricted to allow for routine maintenance.
